Superb craftsmanship and a distinct diver’s aesthetics characterize the iconic look of the Black Bay watch collection by Tudor. This 39mm timepiece from the Fifty-Eight range bears dimensions that evoke the epoch. A durable and rugged stainless steel case is equipped with 200-meter water resistance, and the watch also Features a black anodised aluminium 60-minute graduated bezel fitted on top of a steel unidirectional rotating bezel.
The purpose of the bezel ensures that diving time can only be reduced, never extended – an integral safety aspect of any modern diver’s watch today. This men’s Black Bay Fifty-Eight watch is powered by the beautifully built, COSC certified Calibre MT5402 which provides an impressive 70-hour power reserve. The movement powers the chunky luminous hands around a domed black dial, completed with an hour track represented in luminous markers.
A black and beige fabric strap completes this diver’s watch, donating a sporty look to the wrist. The strap wraps around the arm with a refined buckle. A screw-down winding crown is executed with the Tudor rose logo in relief upon its surface, along with a satin-brushed steel winding crown tube.

I’ve had this black dial GMT-Master II homage for over a month now, and it’s become my go-to daily watch. The design is sleek and minimalist compared to the more colorful Pepsi or Batman versions — which makes it perfect for both work and casual wear. The black ceramic bezel has a subtle shine that catches the light just right, and the dial is deep and rich with perfectly aligned markers. The second time zone feature works as expected, and the independent hand is easy to set. The movement has been consistent, gaining around 8 seconds a day, which is well within what I’d expect from a mechanical. For the price, the build quality and finish are phenomenal. It’s hard to believe it’s not the real thing at a glance.
