          The Rolex Day-Date made its debut in 1956. Available only in 18 ct gold or platinum, it was the first wristwatch chronometer to display the date and the day of the week spelt out in full in windows on the dial. With the President bracelet, originally created specially for it, the Day-Date continues to be the watch par excellence of influential people.

           

           

          The self-winding Rolex Day-Date 40 is showcased here in 18ct yellow gold, with a 40mm diameter, mono-bloc middle case screw-down case back, and winding crown with Twinlock double waterproofness system. Complementing the case is the Champagne coloured dial with its stunning 10 baguette diamond hour markers, which is protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire with a cyclops lens over the date.  The power behind this timepiece is the Caliber 3255, Manufacture Rolex which offers functions that include center hour, minute and seconds hands, instantaneous day and date in apertures, unrestricted rapid settings, and stop-seconds for precise time setting. It has a power reserve of approximately 70 hours and is water-resistant up to 100 meters / 330 feet, and further enhanced by the application of the President bracelet with its semi-circular three-piece links in 18ct yellow gold and secured with a concealed folding Crownclasp.

           


          The watch is unworn and comes complete with full set of original accessories, such as watch box, warranty card dated recently, booklets and manuals.
